Privacy policy
In this guide
Effective date: September 26, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information USA Expert Plumbing ("we", "us") collects when you visit usaexpertplumbing.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. We publish free plumbing guides. We do not sell plumbing services, and we do not ask you to create an account.
Information we collect
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server records basic technical information when you visit a page: your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you requested, the referring page and the date and time. We use this information to keep the site secure, fix errors and understand which guides are useful. Server logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you personally.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to correct or improve our guides. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Article feedback
At the end of our guides, you can tell us whether an article was helpful. When you use the "Was this article helpful?" buttons, we record your answer, the article and the date. If you choose to add a comment, we store the text you type. We do not store your name, email address or IP address with your feedback, and comments are never published on the site. Please do not include personal information in comments. We use feedback only to improve our guides.
Information stored in your browser
Our site and our advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies, described below. When you answer the "Was this article helpful?" question, your browser also stores a small note in its local storage so the question is not shown again on that article. It contains no personal information, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Cookies can be set by us or by third parties whose services appear on our pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the guides on this site will still work without them.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our visitors based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads on this site are selected by Google and its partners, not by us. Advertisers do not influence what our guides say.
Analytics
We may use website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate: which pages are read, how long visitors stay and how they found us. These tools use cookies and collect information such as your IP address and device details. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the website
- To understand which guides are useful and which need updating
- To show advertising that supports the site
- To respond to messages you send us
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.
California and other U.S. state residents
Residents of California and several other states have rights under their state privacy laws. Because advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, you can opt out using the Google Ads Settings and industry opt-out links above, by using a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. To make any other privacy request, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland
If you visit from these regions, we ask for your consent before personalized advertising cookies are used, through a consent message shown by Google's consent management platform. You can change your choice at any time. You also have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information and to object to its processing. The legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent; the legal basis for server logs is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to manufacturers, government sites and other resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No website can guarantee complete security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
